Season of Positivity

I find myself, at present, in a miasma of negativity.  As I've written about previously in this blog, in 2015, I had several health issues.  Hospital stays, procedures, major back surgery, doctor visit after doctor visit, etc., etc.  For the first time in my life, I actually met the out of pocket maximum on my insurance (by July!), the latter part of the year my doctor visits, prescriptions, etc., etc. were paid at 100%.

Enter 2016 and the deductibles and such start all over again. This situation has put me into a funk because I have ongoing issues for which I need to be treated, so, here we go again.

This is not a new phenomenon, and I am far from the only person for whom this is an issue.  All insurances start over at the first of a calendar year.  It stinks, but it is the fact of our healthcare system.

But this post isn't about the American Health Care System, or even my health issues.  It's about turning off the negative loop of static inside my head, and replacing it with positivity.

So this is the first day of what I am calling my Season of Positivity. Or I could call it The War on Negativity. Either way, it is an attempt to flood my mind and soul with things that lift me up, calling to mind the things that are great about [my] life.

Psalm 27:13-14 New Living Translation (NLT)

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness
while I am here in the land of the living.

Wait patiently for the Lord.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.Photobucket
